Sustainable Artist Fellow

Remote and/or On the Ground

Welcome, Artist!

This fellowship is designed for emerging sustainable artists, makers, designers, recyclers, muralists, installation artists, and creatively driven people interested in transforming overlooked materials into meaningful artwork while participating in a growing international creative movement.

Planting Good Seeds is building a global ecosystem rooted in sustainability, creativity, entrepreneurship, cultural exchange, and community connection. Sustainable Artist Fellows help explore how art can restore value — not only to discarded materials, but also to communities, environments, and human relationships.

This is not a traditional residency program. It is a collaborative creative experience designed to help artists strengthen their voice, entrepreneurial confidence, artistic identity, and global network while contributing to meaningful community-centered projects.

You will walk away from this opportunity with:
  • Opportunities to showcase your sustainable artwork within an international creative network

  • The ability to contribute artwork to future gallery exhibitions and creative collaborations

  • Experience creating art from reclaimed, recycled, or locally sourced materials

  • Access to the PGS alumni network and future collaborative opportunities

  • Opportunities for social media visibility and creative portfolio building

  • Increased confidence in creative entrepreneurship, storytelling, and artistic collaboration

  • Opportunities to teach or document your creative process through workshops and digital content

This fellowship is an investment in our relationship and your access to a growing international creative network.

Phase One (Remote Onboarding | 1–2 Months) Community-Backed Support Campaign

During onboarding, fellows begin developing stronger entrepreneurial, communication, and networking skills through collaborative preparation, storytelling exercises, and relationship-building.

Participants are encouraged to raise support for their learning journey while strengthening their confidence in presenting themselves, their artistic interests, and their long-term creative goals.

Throughout this phase, fellows receive collaborative guidance and support while preparing for deeper integration into the movement.

Phase Two: Sustainable Art, Creative Research & Community Collaboration

Once the on-the-ground team arrives in the Caribbean, Sustainable Artist Fellows continue participating remotely or in person through collaborative creative projects, documentation, storytelling, and artistic experimentation inspired by the community and environment around them.

Sustainable Artist Fellows attend the daily 5:00 PM Sharing Circle meetings, helping process observations, creative discoveries, emotional experiences, and emerging opportunities connected to the movement.

Sustainable Artist Fellows may:
  • Create artwork from reclaimed, recycled, or locally sourced materials

  • Collaborate with storytellers, filmmakers, performers, and content creators

  • Develop murals, installations, wearable art, sculptures, or experimental creative projects

  • Document and share their artistic process through social media, video, photography, or written storytelling

  • Participate in community art initiatives and creative gatherings

  • Help transform recycled materials into emotionally meaningful artistic experiences

  • Build educational workshops or digital courses related to sustainable creativity

  • Develop personal creative projects inspired by themes of sustainability, tourism, identity, transformation, entrepreneurship, and cultural exchange

  • Help communicate the emotional and artistic vision of the movement while intentionally protecting the privacy of the location
