Video Storytelling Fellowship
Remote and/or On the Ground

Welcome, Storyteller!
This fellowship is designed for photographers, filmmakers, writers, interviewers, documentarians, social media creatives, curious observers, and emotionally intelligent storytellers interested in capturing meaningful human experiences through media and creative communication.
Planting Good Seeds is building a global movement rooted in creativity, entrepreneurship, cultural exchange, and community connection. Storytelling Fellows help shape how that movement is seen, felt, remembered, and shared with the world.
This is not traditional journalism or content creation. It is collaborative storytelling focused on documenting transformation, relationships, creativity, entrepreneurship, and emerging community experiences with depth, curiosity, and emotional intelligence.
You will walk away from this opportunity with:
Opportunities to build a meaningful storytelling portfolio
Experience documenting real community experiences and emerging creative projects
Access to an international network of artists, entrepreneurs, and collaborators
Opportunities to strengthen your voice as a storyteller and creative communicator
Collaborative experience working alongside performers, artists, educators, and cultural researchers
Increased confidence in interviewing, documenting, editing, and audience engagement
This fellowship is an investment in our relationship and your access to a growing international creative network.
Phase One (Remote Onboarding | 1–2 Months)
Community-Backed Support Campaign
During onboarding, fellows begin building stronger entrepreneurial and communication skills through networking, collaborative preparation, storytelling exercises, and relationship-building.
Participants are encouraged to raise support for their learning journey while developing stronger confidence in presenting themselves, their creative interests, and their long-term goals.
Throughout this phase, fellows receive collaborative guidance and support while preparing for deeper integration into the movement.
Phase Two
Creative Storytelling & Community Documentation
Once the on-the-ground team arrives in the Caribbean, Storytelling Fellows participate remotely or in person through collaborative documentation, interviews, media creation, editing, and creative interpretation of the movement as it evolves.
Storytelling Fellows attend the daily 5:00 PM Sharing Circle meetings, helping process observations, emotional experiences, creative discoveries, and emerging opportunities connected to the movement.
Storytelling Fellows may:
Interview fellows, artists, entrepreneurs, fishermen, recycladoras, and community members
Capture photography, short films, interviews, journals, podcasts, or documentary-style content
Help transform daily experiences into meaningful storytelling and social content
Collaborate with the performance artists and content creation teams
Edit videos, write articles, create visual narratives, or produce short-form social media content
Help communicate the emotional and human side of the movement while intentionally protecting the privacy of the location
Explore themes of creativity, tourism, entrepreneurship, sustainability, identity, and cultural transformation through storytelling
Develop their own personal creative projects inspired by the experience
