Nikki Andrade

I didn’t always live abroad. I was born and raised in the United States, where I spent nearly 30 years studying, working, and building a career. After graduating from Babson College, I worked with global companies like Nestlé and the largest pasta and rice producer in the country.

I left the corporate world to follow my inner wisdom toward authenticity and service. What began as a personal search has grown into Planting Good Seeds—a nonprofit that creates space for people to rest, reconnect, and rediscover who they are meant to be. We are more than a volunteer abroad program; we are a home for artists in transition, educators facing burnout, entrepreneurs in debt, and anyone who needs a reset.

Our retreats weave together meditation, indigenous intelligence, energy healing, and the raw beauty of Taganga, Colombia. But most importantly, we focus on belonging—the missing piece so many seekers crave. Here, you are not just a visitor; you are part of a community writing a new story.

I am also the co-founder of La Semilla Taganguera, a registered nonprofit in Taganga. Together, these two organizations form a bridge: between the old and the new, between local wisdom and global creativity, between Colombia and the world. My mission is to ensure that every seed we plant—whether in Taganga’s soil or in the hearts of those who join us—grows into something authentic, resilient, and free.”

Haider Sanchez

Since childhood, I’ve witnessed how Taganga has changed—from a small fishing village full of traditions to a town facing the pressures of tourism, pollution, and lost opportunities. These challenges have shaped me and fueled my determination to serve my community.

For over a decade, I was part of the Grupo Cultural Juvenil Dunbira, an experience that taught me the power of cultural exchange and service. In 2023, I met Nikki, and together we dreamed of creating La Semilla Taganguera to provide education, environmental protection, and new opportunities for our people.

Now, as part of Planting Good Seeds, I represent the voice of Taganga on the international stage. My role is to ensure that this partnership remains balanced and that the people of my pueblo are not just beneficiaries, but leaders in building a future of dignity, sustainability, and pride.
